About Kam

Kam Laraway CGA Kam has a Commerce Degree from the University of British Columbia. She also has her Certified General Accountant’s designation, and is a member in good standing.

She has been in public practise for over 10 years in the areas of income tax consulting, preparing and filing for both individuals and corporations.

In addition, she has over 10 years experience working in senior financial and business analyst positions with some of Calgary’s most prominent companies (Telus Mobility, Nova Chemicals, ATCO Power).

Kam has also worked for CRA as both and Investigator and Small Business Auditor. She has been an accounting instructor both at SAIT and Mount Royal University. She previously held the position of Chair for the Accounting Advisory Committee with the Bissett School of Business and Entrepreneurial Studies at Mount Royal.

Kam has been involved in a volunteer capacity with the Certified General Accountant’s Association of Alberta on the Student Appeals and Member Disciplinary Tribunals. She has also been a Practise Reviewer for new public practitioners with CGA Alberta.

She is also involved with the community as she has held volunteer positions as the Treasurer of CCA Figure Skating Club, and in a treasury position with the Killarney Synchronized Swimming Club.

Kam is also involved with the establishment of the Kaiti Perras Love of Dance Memorial Fund.  This fund was established in 2014 in loving memory of Kaiti Perras by her family. Kaiti loved all forms of dance, both as a participant and more recently as a teacher. The purpose of the fund is to introduce school-aged children to the beauty of dance in Calgary schools.
